Sanchez, a £32million signing from Barcelona this summer, took his tally to eight goals in 15 appearances for Arsene Wenger’s men with another impressive showing at the Stadium of Light.
And according to the French midfielder, the Chilean star is already well on his way to emulating club legend Thierry Henry, who wrote himself into club folklore by bagging 228 goals during his time there.
“From what we have seen so far of him, he is right up there [with Henry and Van Persie],” Flamini told reporters.
“He is proving it in every game he plays, not just with his goals but the way he works for the team.”
