St Kilda say they are still willing to trade pick no.1 in the national draft if the right offer is presented to them.
Saints head of football Chris Pelchen told SEN Radio on Wednesday that they would continue looking for the best player to pick in the draft, unless a rival club could come up with an offer that the club could not turn down.
“We’re very open minded in terms of trading our selection, and that shouldn’t be a surprise to anybody,” Pelchen said.
“We had some discussions yesterday with a number of clubs. There’s certainly interest from opposition teams in the No.1 selection, but at the moment nothing has been put on the table for us to consider.”
The AFL draft will take place on November 27 and will be held at the Gold Coast Convention Centre.
