Port Adelaide captain Travis Boak says he will offer to help the club convince wantaway Essendon ruckman Paddy Ryder to join the club.
Ryder has walked out on the Bombers and Port will have to fight off a number of potential suitors for his services.
Boak told reporters on Monday that the Power would be an attractive destination for the 26-year-old.
“We’re in a great position as a club,” he said.
“We think we have got a great list and we’re certainly on the track of building something pretty special,” Boak said.
“It’s a great family and a great tightknit group.”
Boak added that he and other Port Adelaide players would help bring Ryder to the club if required.
“List management will take care of that but if we need to get involved, then we will,” he said.
