Hawthorn tall Sam Grimley has reportedly asked Hawthorn to find him a new home after he failed to make a senior appearance in 2014, despite brilliant VFL form.
The Herald Sun report that the 23-year-old had alerted the Hawks that he wanted a move elsewhere in an attempt to play senior football.
Grimley was the highest goalkicker in the VFL this season (45), including hauls of six and seven.
The 200-cm giant is contracted until the end of the 2015 season, so the Hawks would require compensation if he is to leave during the trade period.
With Hawthorn boasting the likes of Jarryd Roughead and Jack Gunston, it is unlikely Grimley would see much AFL football in the near future and as a result could be targeted by the likes of Carlton and the Western Bulldogs, with both sides crying out for tall forwards.
