31-year-old Dale Morris has committed to the Bulldogs until the end of the 2015 season.
Western Bulldogs veteran Dale Morris will remain at Whitten Oval for another season after agreeing to a new one-year deal.
The 31-year-old has continued his rich vein of form since breaking his leg in 2011, playing in 37 of the club’s last 39 games.
Morris finished in the top five of the Bulldogs’ best and fairest in 2013.
The defender told the club’s website he was “enjoying” his football, and wanted to help improvement the Bulldogs’ young defenders.
“Not only am I really enjoying my footy at the moment and what I can contribute on match days, but I can see some real growth in our younger defenders and that’s encouraging,” he said.
“It was an easy decision. I love this club, and I’m excited about its future.”
Bulldogs coach Brendan McCartney said Morris was a respected figure at the club.
“Dale has been ultra-consistent both on and off the field and will continue to be a key person for our younger players coming through,” McCartney said.
“It goes without saying just how valued and respected Dale is at our footy club.”
