Now that Percy Harvin has flown the coop, will the controversy that sent him away linger in the Seahawks locker room?

WR Percy Harvin may be gone from the Seattle Seahawks locker room, but there is a strong sense that his presence will be felt for a long time. For days the former 2009 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year has been the subject of countless articles talking about how he was a locker room cancer that was getting into fights with members of the team and even pulled himself out of a game where he wasn’t seeing the ball enough.
Now the Seahawks are coming off a stunning upset loss to the Cowboys and head to St. Louis for what should be an easy win. But the questions remain whether all of the Percy Harvin news – much of it targeting specific members of the Seahawks – will be a distraction that could take away some of the Seahawks focus.
Here are the 5 teams with the most to prove in Week 7:
Seattle Seahawks – After losing to the Cowboys and being the subject of piece after piece of what life was like with Percy Harvin on the team, the Seahawks cannot afford to let the moribund Rams steal a potentially easy road win away from them.
Cleveland Browns – After beating the Steelers, the Browns cannot afford to lose a potential trap game to the Jacksonville Jaguars, a team that has gone 6 straight weeks without scoring more than 17 points.
Dallas Cowboys – Much like the Browns, the Cowboys could be facing a trap game against a Giants team that has beaten them in their own house 4 of the last 5 times.
Cincinnati Bengals – Andy Dalton and the Bengals have been winless the last few weeks without WR A.J. Green, so a strong road performance against the Indianapolis Colts is a must while they eagerly await his recovery
Detroit Lions – The depth of this Lions team will be sorely tested without Calvin Johnson or their two starting TEs. If they can’t get the home win over the Saints who will only barely be using Jimmy Graham, who can they beat without Johnson?
