Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been given a three-match ban after insulting the assistant referee during a 2-1 victory over Fiorentina.
Ibrahimovic will now miss most of Milan's title run-in, including matches against Sampdoria, Brescia and Bologna.
A statement released by the Lega Serie A confirmed the 29-year-old striker had been banned for having "insulted the assistant".
Ibrahimovic received his eighth caution of the season during the game, earning an automatic ban, but was then sent off for abusing the assistant.
The Rossoneri have not confirmed whether they will appeal the ban. They are currently first in Serie A, three points above Napoli.
