Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts goes to the wire!

The race to get to the semi-finals of the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts tournament is about as close as it could be. Whilst four-time champion Phil Taylor is the only contestant confirmed for the last four, five men are competing for the three remaining places.

The tournament is comprised of eight of the best darts players in the sport, so for six of those to be in contention for semi-final places illustrates just how fine the margins are at the very top level of sport. Simon Whitlock, Mervyn King, Ronnie Baxter, James Lewis and Adrian Lewis will all fight out for the chance to claim the title, but the unbeaten Phil 'The Power' Taylor is standing ominously in their way.

Taylor has won four of the five competitions overall, and will be eager to regain the crown that Wade gloriously stole last year.
