Whoopi Goldberg to perform in Sister Act in London West End

Hollywood actress Whoopi Goldberg is synonymous with Sister Act, having starred as Deloris Van Cartier in the hit 1992 film adaptation, and now she will return to the musical in a new role: she has been cast as Mother Superior in the West End production at the London Palladium.

Goldberg replaces Sheila Hancock from August 10th - 31st 2010, and in doing so will be making her West End debut! Sister Act tickets for those dates will no doubt be hugely popular, and prices currently begin at £17 from SeeTickets.
