Vampire Weekend to make record store appearance

Vampire Weekend have announced that they will mark the release of their forthcoming album 'Contra' with an in-store performance at Rough Trade East in London next week.

Vampire Weekend will play live in the London record store on January 15 in front of fans who buy the album from Rough Trade. The record will be available as of 8 am next Monday (January 11).

Meanwhile, the band are set to kick off their 2010 tour next month and we can confirm that Vampire Weekend tickets are selling fast.

The Vampire Weekend tour begins at the De La Warr Pavilion on February 5 in Bexhill on Sea. The band also visit Cambridge Corn Exchange, Manchester Apollo, the O2 Academy Birmingham and many more top venues across the UK. Vampire Weekend draw their tour to a close with two shows at the O2 Brixton Academy.
