Snow Patrol rumoured to be close to announcing 2012 UK tour
Strong rumours are circling that Snow Patrol may soon announce a UK tour for 2012.

Internet forums are rife with speculation that the band will reveal a series of shows next year, due to the impending release of their latest, as-yet-unnamed album. Their previous album, Up To Now was an incredible success and this one is alleged to - somehow - be even better. Canadian musician Owen Pallett has written brass and string arrangements for around seven of the songs, and singer Gary Lightbody recently revealed how REM's Michael Stipe helped him overcome writers block: "Michael made a few suggestions here and there. On a track called New York there was a line, 'Your face has never left me.' He said, 'That sounds like you've got a girl's head in your bag.' So we changed it."

Snow Patrol are widely acclaimed for their incredible live performances, with their main stage set at 2009's T In The Park said to be one of the best ever of the festival. Keep checking back for news on the upcoming tour.

Snow Patrol tickets and tour dates will be announced shortly.
