Slash has revealed that he's in talks to perform at the 2010 Download Festival. The ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist and general rock legend says he's keen to play some European festivals this summer, following the release of his debut solo album on May 10. Speaking to Radio 1's Newsbeat, he said: 'I know we were talking about doing Download and there's a couple of other ones. We'll do some around Germany as well.'
The 2010 Download Festival looks set to be the best ever, with Rage Against the Machine and Aerosmith among the top acts already confirmed. This years festival is set to take place from June 11 13 at Donington Park and will see performances from the likes of AC/DC, Megadeth and Them Crooked Vultures. It will be one of Rage Against the Machines first gigs since they controversially clinched the 2009 Christmas Number One with Killing in the Name.
Download Festival tickets are already selling fast and the announcement of both Aerosmith and Rage Against the Machine is likely to boost ticket sales figures. Fans are urged to snap up Download Festival tickets while they are still available.
