Six Nations: Italy v France preview
By James Barnes, on 4th March 2011, 16:42 UTC
France will be desperate to keep the pressure on England by beating Italy at the Stadio Flaminio on March 12th.
After having the best of the first half in last weeks huge clash with England at Twickenham, France could not recover from Ben Foden's try just after half time. They can now only hope that Scotland or Ireland will put a dent in England's championship hopes. A big win against Italy will be vital to heap pressure on England, as they do not face Scotland until the day after France's game.
Italy will be desperate to get some points to avoid the dreaded wooden spoon, but the final match showdown with Scotland looks likely to decide who will finish bottom of this year's table. Despite some excellent play and close scorelines, Italy will have to make a huge effort to overcome what is a very good France side.
Italy v France tickets are available now. The match takes place at the Stadio Flaminio, Rome, on March 12th. Kick off is at 2.30pm.
