Roger Federer to take on Rafael Nadal in Miami semi-final

Rafael Nadal will play Roger Federer in the semi-finals of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami.

The clash marks the first time the two have met on American soil for six years.

Despite needing treatment for a shoulder problem, Nadal advanced to the semi-final stage by beating Tomas Berdych 6-2 3-6 6-3. Federer had a much easier quarter-final as his opponent, Giles Simon, withdrew after just three games due to a stiff neck.
