Roger Federer powers through Monte Carlo second-round

Roger Federer laid down a marker in the Monte Carlo Masters second-round by demolishing Phillip Kohlschreiber 6-2, 6-1.
Federer, who has been increasingly overshadowed by Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, tore the German apart to show he is not yet a spent force. The 16-time grand slam champion looked impressive on the clay surface, despite it not being his favourite.
Nadal faces Finland's Jarkko Nieminen in the second round, as he attempts to win his seventh straight Monte Carlo title. Djokovic is not taking part in the event due to a minor injury.
Tennis tickets, including Wimbledon, are available now.
