Roberto Mancini 'surprised but happy' with important win

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has stated that he was surprised after his team dominated Sunderland in a 5-0 victory yesterday.

The five goals came from five different players, with Adam Johnson, Carlos Tevez, David Silva, Patrick Vieira and Yaya Toure all scoring in a uncharacteristic attacking display.

"I am surprised but I am happy. It is important that we scored five goals," said Mancini.

"We always play to win. If we continue like this we'll finish very well."

City are now six points clear of Tottenham in the chase for a Champions League place.
