Real Madrid trio to miss Tottenham showdown

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Marcelo will not be available for the Champions League quarter-final against Tottenham next week.

Mourinho is confident the trio will be available for the second leg, as he expects them all to feature in the match against Athletic Bilbao on April 9th.

"That is what the reports that the medical staff say." said Mourinho.

"If they were available they would play [against Sporting Gijon]. Saturday's match is more decisive than next week's against Tottenham because the latter is the best of two.

"If we don't win the first we still have a chance in the second.
