Preview audiences go wild for Legally Blonde - The Musical

Preview audiences have already been verging on hysteria for Legally Blonde - The Musical, which has its gala opening performance on Wednesday. Producers have commented that they have been taken aback by the reaction since it began previewing last month all previews have been sold out, the atmosphere has been like a pop concert,while the buzz is evenstarting to spread through Facebook and Twitter.

The new West End show is based on the hit 2001 film, which starred Reese Witherspoon as Elle Woods, a Malibu sorority girl who gets dumped by her boyfriend when he gets a place at Harvard. Her response is to get a place there too and prove herself as a law student. Sheridan Smith (star of the hit shows Two Pints of Lager and Gavin and Stacey) will play the role of Woods.
