Paul McCartney rocks Hampden Park with first live concert in over 20 years

Sir Paul McCartney played his first concert in Scotland for over twenty years on Sunday night, and it was a glorious occasion. The ex-Beatle included some of his band's classic hits such as Hey Jude, Wings favourites like Nineteen Hundred and Eight Five, and solo greats including Live And Let Die. Of course, the gig was in Scotland, so naturally Mull Of Kintyre had to be played, and Sir Paul was joined onstage at Hampden Park by local troupe the Loretto Pipe Band.

Before heading off stage after two brilliant encores, Liverpool's most famous son said jovially, "I have a feeling youve had a good time tonight. Youre a brilliant crowd."

He wasn't wrong. Still, there is still an opportunity for others to experience the joyous high of the ex-Beatle in concert. Paul McCartney tickets are on sale for his concert at Cardiff Millennium Stadium - for which the support act will be the wonderful Welsh band Manic Street Preachers - and are available from £45.

In addition, McCartney will play a festival next weekend in London's Hyde Park, topping a bill above Crosby, Stills & Nash, Crowded House and Elvis Costello amongst others. Hard Rock Calling tickets are currently on sale from £29 through Seatwave, famed for their Ticket Integrity 100% guarantee.
