Oxegen adds Slash and Manics to the bill

Slash,Manic Street Preachers andGlasvegas are amongst the latest acts announced for Oxegen 2011.

The Punchestown racecourse event is held in the middle of July and also includes Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay and Black Eyed Peas this year.

Oxegen has also announcedOFWGKTA,Metronomy,The Saturdays,Peter Doherty,The Pretty Reckless,Professor Green,Ke$ha,Eliza Doolittle,Example, andCherri Bomb.

Festival Director John Probyn said, "We think today's announcement offers something really special for all our fans. Whatever your taste in music, be it pop, rock, hip-hop or RnB, Oxegen delivers. It's that eclecticism and quality that make it such a vibrant and exciting festival. Personally, I'm really looking forward to seeing Slash play the man is genuine rock royalty!"

Slash recently announced that he will be playing a gig in his hometown of Stoke-on-Trent later this year.
