Oasis touchdown in Peru

Oasis recently arrived in Peru days before they are set to kick off the 2009 Oasis tour of South America. Oasis fans had gathered at Lima International Airport to welcome Oasis to the Peruvian capital. Despite the current worries over the swine flu outbreak, Oasis fans turned up in their hundreds to catch a glimpse of their idols.
Oasis arrived in Lima ahead of their huge show at Lima National Stadium which is the first date on their South American tour. Oasis will return home after their visit to South America to play a series of stadium shows in the UK.
The Oasis tour kicks off with three shows at Heaton Park in Manchester (June 4, 6 &7). Oasis play seven further dates including performances at Sunderland Stadium of Light (June 10), Cardiff Millennium Stadium (June 12), Murrayfield Stadium in Glasgow (June 17) and Coventrys Ricoh Arena (July 7). The Oasis tour comes to a close in London with four shows at Wembley Stadium (July 9, 11 & 12). Loads of Oasis tickets are still available from £40.
