Whitney Houston is set to perform two shows at Manchester MEN Arena this week, drawing her controversial comeback tour to a close. The 46-year-old has received mixed reviews for her performances over the last three months, and recently witnessed a number of fans walking out of the arena during a disastrous show in Denmark.
The American singer was said to appear "tuneless and weak" during the show, prompting many fans to ask for refunds. One reviewer claimed that Houston had even snapped at parts of the crowd, as boos echoed throughout the arena.
A similar "walk-out" was reported when Houston appeared at London's O2 Arena in April, with the singer admitting after the show that her voice "was not in the best shape."
Whitney Houston has however received praise during the tour, with one fan after the show at Birmingham LG Arena stating, "I really enjoyed it no matter what anyone else says. Taking into account that she had a sore throat, she gave 100%. I thought she was brilliant and I'd pay again to see her."
As Whitney Houston prepares to entertain fans at Manchester MEN Arena this week, she will surely be looking to rectify her previous disappointing performances, and finish her comeback tour on a high.
Whitney Houston tickets are still available for her Manchester MEN Arena shows on Wednesday 16th June and Thursday 17th June, with prices starting at £50.
