Nigel de Jong says Man City can catch Arsenal

Nigel de Jong believes Manchester City should not settle for fourth place while it is still possible for them to catch third-placed Arsenal.

City are currently four points ahead of Tottenham, with a crunch match between the two coming up next month.

But de Jong thinks City should be looking to catch teams above them in the league, rather than looking below them.

"You have to aim as high as you can and all we can do is focus on each game and keep collecting three points," he told mcfc.co.uk.

"We are in the top four and that is where we want to stay and the way to do that is to not think about the future only the next match. If we keep our focus then of course we can challenge for third place but all we can do is keep winning and see what happens."
