Will Young heads straight to top of UK albums chart

Will Young's new album, Echoes, has entered the charts at the number one spot.

The hit singer's fifth studio album was released on August 22nd. It is his first record since 2008's Let It Go, which charted at the number 2 position. As well as being a hit with the public, Echoes has received much critical acclaim, with a five-star rating from Digital Spy and four stars from The Guardian and the Evening Standard.

Young is set to embark on a UK tour this autumn, kicking off on October 27th at the Swindon Oasis.
