Westlife to split after Greatest Hits tour

Irish pop band Westlife have confirmed that they are to split up following their 2012 Greatest Hits tour. The group confirmed details of the tour earlier this week, and have now issued a statement regarding their plans to call it a day next year.
The band have enjoyed huge success throughout their 14 year career, which has included 14 number one singles and 7 number one albums.
In the statement posted on the official Westlife website, the band said, "We today announce our plan to go our separate ways after a greatest hits collection this Christmas and a farewell tour next year.
"The decision is entirely amicable and after spending all of our adult life together so far, we want to have a well-earned break and look at new ventures."
Westlife tickets will go on sale this Friday, 21st October, for the following farewell tour dates:
Monday May 14th - Newcastle Metro Radio Arena
Tuesday May 15th - Liverpool Echo Arena
Thursday May 17th - Cardiff Motorpoint Arena
Saturday May 19th - Sheffield Motorpoint Arena
Sunday May 20th - Birmingham LG Arena
Wednesday May 23rd - London O2 Arena
Saturday May 26th - Manchester MEN Arena
Sunday May 27th - Glasgow SECC
