After beating England by 27 runs in the first match on Sunday, West Indies hold the advantage in this three-game Twenty20 series in Barbados.
Ahead of the World T20 tournament in Bangladesh – which starts later this month – this is great practice for two sides expected to do well in that competition.
The Three Lions are enduring a tricky transition period currently as they get used to life without star batsman Kevin Pietersen and they are struggling.
There is more bad news for the tourists as Joe Root has been ruled out of this series and the World T20 due to a broken thumb, with Ian Bell having been drafted in as a replacement.
Captain Stuart Broad will also miss the remaining two ties due to a knee injury and Eoin Morgan is expected to fill in as skipper for the 27-year-old.
Ravi Bopara and James Tredwell were useful with the ball in the first match, but both Broad and Ben Stokes were expensive and the latter will need to sharpen up.
This is because Marlon Samuels and Chris Gayle both looked good with the bat, whilst the English also failed to cope with the West Indian bowling attack.
Spinner Sunil Narine continues to bamboozle the visitors, whilst Samuel Badree tore through the top order and finished the game with three wickets at the cost of just 17 runs.
