The London club are keen to hold on to the powerful midfielder, at least until the end of the season, as they look to stave off relegation in their first season back in the top flight.
The midfielder reportedly has a £3.5 million fee release clause in his contract and is rumoured to be unhappy that the East London club are not respecting the clause.
Diame has even threatened to report his current employers to FIFA if they do not let him discuss terms with clubs who he believe are interested in him and have tabled a bid.
Hammers manager Sam Allardyce has moved to deny that there have been any bids for Diame however, and had admitted the club are attempting to persuade the player to sign a new deal that removes the release fee clause.
‘At the moment we’ve had no bids from the clubs which have been linked with Diame, not Arsenal, not Newcastle. He’s our player and hopefully on February 1st, he will still be our player.’
West Ham will be keen to hang on to one of their better players, especially in the aftermath of the 5-1 drubbing against Arsenal.
