The 33-year-old shot stopper is currently said to be in talks with the Premier League strugglers over his personal terns, with the two clubs believed to have already agreed on a fee for the former England international.
And, as part of the transfer it is understood that Hammers back-up goalkeeper Stephen Henderson will move to Ewood Park.
Despite Robinson recently expressing his desire to remain in the North of England due to personal reasons, the fact that the player also spent a highly successful and enjoyable time working with West Ham manager Sam Allardyce when he was in charge at Rovers may be enough to persuade the veteran to swap Blackburn for the Boleyn Ground before the January transfer window slams shut at 23.00GMT on Jan 31st.
