Sam Allardyce is desperate to bring in another striker, and as close to securing a loan deal for Roger Rojas…
West Ham are closing in on a loan move for Honduras international Roger Rojas, who plays for Club Deportivo Olimpia, reports the Mirror.
The 23-year-old forward travelled to London this week to undergo a medical, ahead of a imminent loan move that could force Ricardo Vaz Te out of the club.
With Modibo Maiga and the incoming Rojas ahead of him in the pecking order, and with record £15m signing Andy Carroll set to return from injury, Vaze Te is surplus to requirements at Upton Park – with Bolton Wanderers set to be interested.
Rojas has proved to be a deadly finisher in his homeland, although whether can make the huge step up to the Premier League is yet to be seen.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce hopes a deal will be wrapped up soon, although due to international clearance rules it is unlikely the young forward would make his debut at the weekend. West Ham take on Stoke City at home, and will hope to build on their solid four point start from two games.
