Former West Coast Eagles coach John Worsfold has ruled out a return to senior coaching in 2015.
Worsfold told SEN Radio on Thursday he was not interested in coaching in the AFL next year, but left the door open for a return in the future.
“I’ve got a massive interest in coaching, I’ve taken a role with the AFL Coaches Association, but in terms of me stepping back into the main job, that’s not on the cards, definitely not for the next 12 months,” Worsfold said.
“By the time we get to this point next year I’ll be starting to wonder whether I’ve finished with coaching all together or whether I’ll be keen to get back in.”
Worsfold was linked to the now-vacant Adelaide Crows role, however Sydney Swans assistant Stuart Dew now looks to be leading the race to snare the job.
