The new bid – believed to be around £3.5m – comes after the Baggies rejected an initial £3m offer for the 31-year-old from the Hoops last week.
West Brom rejected a transfer request from Odemwingie on Friday, describing the Nigerian’s actions as ‘disappointing’.
“As we have repeatedly stated, we have no need or desire to sell our core players,” said Baggies technical director Richard Garlick.
“Since we turned down Peter’s transfer request, he has made his position clear in a statement to the media and via his personal Twitter account.
“This matter will be dealt with internally.”
Odemwingie took to the social networking site in an extraordinary rant on Saturday, which criticised West Brom and their supporters.
Many of the tweets have since been deleted but the former Lokomotiv Moscow forward hinted that he had wanted to quit Premier League football last summer.
Odemwingie has scored 30 Premier League goals in 80 appearances since arriving at the Hawthorns from Russia in 2010.
