Wilshere struggles, but scores in the second half…
- 01 Szczesny – 6
The Polish stopper wasn’t at fault for the goal, and was solid throughout at the Hawthorns.
- 25 Jenkinson – 6
The English right-back came in for the injured Sagna, and while he was comfortable in possession, he was occasionally caught too far up the field, and West Brom took advantage of the space.
- 04 Mertesacker – 6
The giant German was solid defensively for most of the afternoon, but gave the ball away and didn’t look in comfortable with the ball at his feet.
- 06 Koscielny – 7
The Frenchman was better than his centre-back partner, and made some crucial interceptions as West Brom threatened to take a two goal lead early in the second half.
- 28 Gibbs – 5
The English left-back struggled badly in the first-half, and although he improved in the second, Arsene Wenger could start Nacho Monreal ahead of him in Arsenal’s next league game.
- 20 Flamini – 7
Predictably solid in the middle of the park, and provided a good platform for Arsenal’s more creative talents to perform.
- 16 Ramsey (Rosicky – 59′ ) – 6 and 6
The Welshman had arguably his quietest game of the season for the Gunners, and was pulled off after 59 minutes for Rosicky.
- 10 Wilshere – 6
Had an awful first-half, but scored Arsenal’s vital equaliser with a long range deflected strike. Will already be bored of the repeated ‘He smokes when he wants’ chants.
- 11 Özil – 7
The German played some nice intricate passers in the final third, but struggled to dictate play against the dynamic home side.
- 08 Arteta – 7
The Spaniard was arguably Arsenal’s best player in the middle of the park, making 70 of his 72 attempted passes.
- 12 Giroud (Bendtner – 85′ ) – 5
The Frenchman was frustrated all afternoon against an impressive Baggies outfit, and didn’t get many chances to add to his five goals this season.
