Title winning captain Vincent Kompany reckons Steven Gerrard is the best player he’s ever played against…
Manchester City’s captain Vincent Kompany has told his followers on Twitter than Steven Gerrard is the best player he’s ever come up against.
Gerrard, now 33-years-old, is captaining his Liverpool side against Olympiakos today in his testimonial match. The legendary midfielder of course scored a brilliant last-minute screamer against the Greek side to get the Reds out of the Champions League group stage in 2004/05. They went on to win the competition.
Gerrard has made 630 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, and has scored 159 goals.
Steven G is awesome. Best P.L. player I’ve ever played against but I can’t watch no more friendlies. I’m watching Championship today! 🙂
