Tri-colours earn a gusty win against the South Sydney Rabbtiohs.
The Sydney Roosters have secured the NRL minor premiership after downing their long-time rivals the South Sydney Rabbtiohs 24-12 at ANZ Stadium.
In what was a script-writers and marketers dream the top spot on the ladder came down to the final round with the two principles drawn to face each other.
But it was the Roosters who showed the stronger mental game as they came back from being down twice to win front of 59, 708 fans.
Veteran fullback Anthony Minichiello made a brilliant try-saver on Nathan Merritt in one of the highlights of the game, but it was not all good news for the Roosters who face a nervous wait on Jared Waerea-Hargreaves after he was placed on report for using his elbow to fend off would-be tackler.
While Greg Inglis provided a spark of his own for the Bunnines as he scored an amazing try as he showcased his speed and strength to get across the line.
