Zinedine Zidane may be a Real Madrid all time great, and one of the club’s most successful Galacticos, but grew up a fan of FC Barcelona.
Retired France international playmaker Zinedine Zidane is a legend at Real Madrid.
His wonderful volley against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the 2002 UEFA Champions League final has gone down in folklore, winning Real Madrid their ninth European Cup, and he now performs the joint role of Assistant Coach and Sporting Director.
However, fans of Los Meringues will not be delighted to hear that Zidane grew up a fan of FC Barcelona, who are of course Real Madrid’s arch rivals in El Clasico.
We’re mostly just shocked to see him with a full head of hair…
