Broncos prevail in shoot-out with Cowboys.
The Denver Broncos stayed unbeaten with a thrilling 51-48 win over the Dallas Cowboys at the AT&T Stadium on Sunday.
Despite the first 500-yard game in Dallas history, Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning would not be denied as he and opposite number Tony Romo went head-to-head in a highly entertaining battle.
The four-time MVP ended the game passing 33 of 42 for 414 yards with four touchdown passes, while Romo went 25 of 36 for 506 yards and five touchdowns.
Some smart play at the end of the game ensured Denver ran their total to 230 points this season, the most by an NFL team through the first five games, and picked up yet another win.
The Broncos have now won 16 consecutive regular-season games, and will undoubtedly be delighted to have come out on top in one of the most entertaining games in recent NFL encounters.
Meanwhile, having played a significant part in the encounter, both Romo and the Cowboys will be disappointed to have fallen to defeat.
