Sri Lanka skipper Kumar Sangakkara is looking forward to leading SunRisers Hyderabad out in their first IPL campaign.
The newest side to the IPL, SunRisers Hyderabad, can boast the capture of Sri Lankan wicketkeeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara as their captain this year.
Sangakkara will lead Hyderabad out in their first season in the IPL as they replace the now defunct Deccan Chargers.
SunRisers will play their debut IPL match against Pune Warriors on April 5 and the Sri Lanka skipper is excited at the prospect of leading the brand new side.
The only issue for Sangakkara is that he will not be able to captain his new franchise in their match at Chennai Super Kings on April 25, due to the ban on Sri Lankan cricketers in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
