Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs continued their winning start to the season with a 91-85 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Tony Parker (24) and Manu Ginobili (20) did most of the damage for the visitors, but there are positive signs for the Lakers who still await the return of Kobe Bryant.
