Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James features in the new Beats by Dre commercial as it documents his return to Akron, Ohio and his impact on his hometown.
After four years away with the Miami Heat, the 30-year-old opted to return to Cleveland this summer after winning two championships and featuring in four straight NBA Finals during his spell on South Beach.
However, his long-lasting ambition of leading the Cavaliers to a championship ensured he returned to his unfinished business, and it is clear from the general response that he has inspired a community again.
While it remains to be seen if James’ move is a success from a playing perspective, there is no doubt that commercially he has excelled since the switch and the franchise and city has been lifted as a result.
Nevertheless, this commercial takes a trip down memory lane as James goes through his workouts and aptly leaves the ‘LeBron James Arena’ ahead of embarking on the next chapter of his career.
