Stephenson living up to tag of being able to get on rivals nerves.
Indiana Pacers guard Lance Stephenson is either loved or loathed, and while the majority loath him, that didn’t prevent him from carrying out these antics on Wednesday night.
The Pacers secured victory in a must-win Game 5 to avoid playoff elimination to the Miami Heat for the third consecutive year, but it is merely postponed for now as they must go back on the road for Game 6 and win again to tie the series at 3-3.
Meanwhile, Stephenson had only just conceded that his remarks about LeBron James showing a “sign of weakness” through his trash talk was a mistake, given that the four-time MVP responded with a big performance in Game 4, but it didn’t stop him from trying to wind his rival up.
Admittedly, the music makes this incident even funnier than it is, but James appears to take it well and laughs off Stephenson’s attempt to rile him. However, the Heat star was unable to influence the game after falling into foul trouble and was limited to just 24 minutes of action.
That wasn’t where the Pacers guard was done for the night though, as he was listening in on Erik Spoelstra’s huddle late in the third quarter, and while the Heat players didn’t really react to it, an official came across to ensure the offending party was removed from the area.
