Mamba has been sidelined for nearly eight months.
Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant has released a video on his Facebook page which suggests he will return to action on Sunday against the Toronto Raptors.
The 35-year-old has spent the last eight months in rehabilitation in order to recover from a ruptured Achilles, but hinted earlier this week that he was getting closer to a return to action.
However, in a two-minute video posted on his official Facebook page, he has now revealed that he will make his comeback against the Raptors at the Staples Center on Sunday.
The video shows Bryant’s No.24 jersey floating in the middle of the screen before being battered by the elements including rain, snow and wind.
As the jersey is then torn down the front by a lightning strike, it is repaired with a beam of sunlight and the words emerge, “The Legend Continues…December 8.”
The 18-year veteran has revealed in recent weeks that he is keen to work on his conditioning in order to be game ready as opposed to gradually working his way back into action.
It is clear that he now feels ready to make the next step, and the Lakers fans will undoubtedly be delighted to see their hero return to the court.
