Noah ready to overcome LeBron: Bulls star not phased by Cavs challenge.
Nets didn’t offer Pierce new deal: Veteran sealed move to Washington this summer.
Chicago Bulls star Joakim Noah is known for his passion and commitment on the court, and even though it’s still pre-season, that was on display on Monday.
Even though the players are still gearing up for the new season, it didn’t stop them from taking it any less seriously as Noah and Pierce got involved in a scuffle with Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau breaking them up and attempting to act as peace-maker.
Nevertheless, it promises to be a fiery affair when the pair reacquaint themselves in the regular season when the Eastern Conference rivals lock horns again.
The rivalry between Noah and Pierce in particular arguably dates back right through their battles when the latter was with both the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets. However, ultimately this was a one-off incident as Pierce didn’t take too kindly to Noah shoving him and responded by reaching out and poking his head with his finger.
If this is the tension in pre-season, we look forward to October 30 when things start for real…
