Belgian shown straight red after bizarre incident in South Wales.
Chelsea were dumped out of the semi-finals of the League Cup by Swansea City on a night when Belgium international Eden Hazard was sent off for kicking a ball boy.
The midfield player became entangled with the ball boy ten minutes from the end of the tie and as he attempted to wrestle the ball back to restart the game, the player appeared to kick the 17-year-old, resulting in his subsequent straight red card for violent conduct.
After the match, that ended in a goalless stalemate which meant that the South Coast side qualified for the final 2-0 on aggregate, Hazard apologised.

“The boy put his whole body on to the ball and I was just trying to kick the ball.
“I think I kicked the ball and not the boy. I apologise,” Hazard said on Chelsea TV.
