The Canterbury Bulldogs enforcer imposes his will in round one.
If Todd Lowrie remembers anything from the first round of the 2014 NRL season, it’ll only be before this attempted tackle on Frank Pritchard.
The Brisbane Broncos reserve was turned into a speed-bump by the Bulldogs backrower when he took this hit-up at ANZ Stadium.
While some might argue that it was a shoulder-charge in possession by Pritchard and might come under scrutiny from the NRL’s Match Review Committee, fanatix feels it was simply a case of Lowrie attempting to go too high on the bigger man.
Either way, Lowrie did not take any further part for the rest of the game, which his side won 18-12, in accordance with the NRL’s new concussion rule.
