Gibson dribbles up the court before receiving a helping hand from Gobert to throw down a dunk…
The Utah Jazz pulled off one of the most simply brilliant moves of the summer as they signed a five-year-old boy suffering from leukemia to a one-day contract.
JP Gibson is currently battling lymphoblastic leukemia but was signed to a one-day contract by the franchise and took part in their open scrimmage on Monday.
While the youngster also took part in the entire Jazz training day, he showed some great moves as he dribbled his way up the court past the likes of Steve Novak and Dante Exum and into the paint.
From there onwards he received a small hand from Rudy Gobert to attack the rim before throwing down the dunk. While the obvious hope and priority is that Gibson makes a full recovery, this is undoubtedly a very classy move from the Jazz and a great moment for Gibson himself.
