Like a fine wine, some things just get better with age. Now 35, Dwayne De Rosario is enjoying some of the greatest form of his career.
Even at the statistical worst team in the league, De Rosario is one of the most remarkable – and dangerous – players in MLS.
United have only scored 15 goals all season, and De Rosario has 13 of them.
The latest of these came on Saturday against the team one place above them in the Eastern Conference, Toronto FC.
Some clever footwork created the opportunity for the Canadian to curl home a terrific strike from what seemed like an impossible distance, earning his team only their 14th point of the season.
