Saunders offers bitter rival £20,000 not to take warm-up fight on Saturday…
Billy Joe Saunders joined Chris Eubank Jr’s press conference through Skype on Thursday as he continues preparations for November 29 at his training camp in Marbella.
The two bitter rivals are set to meet in the ring next month as the war of words continue, with Saunders in particular ramping up the bad blood with his recent interviews.
However, after Eubank failed to attend a press conference earlier this month to promote the fight as contractual issues threatened to ensure it wouldn’t happen, the two fighters have still yet to be in the same room with Saunders busy in Spain preparing for the bout.
The British, Commonwealth and European champion offered Eubank £20,000 to not take a fight this Saturday as he believes that it is the perfect excuse to come out with an injury and not fight next month.
However, Eubank was not interested in accepting the offer as he was flanked by his dad, Eubank Sr, who become involved in a war of words of his own with promoter Frank Warren as they disagreed over where the next press conference would take place.
Warren has previously revealed that it was a “nightmare” dealing with the Eubanks, but ultimately, the contracts are signed and the fight has been made and all that is left to see is an explosive fight week involving Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora who top the bill on November 29.
