Knee problem forces American to retire in Melbourne.
No 20 seed Sam Querrey expressed his disappointment for his compatriot Brian Baker after the American was forced to withdraw from their second-round match at the Australian Open through injury.
“I didn’t see what happened. I hit a ball, and then he hit a ball long. I was looking at the ball kids to grab balls for my serve, and then I looked back and he (Brian Baker) was on the ground, ”Querrey said.
“And then just asking him, he said he kind of just felt his knee almost buckle and kind of heard like a pop or a snap. He didn’t know if it was bones or a tear, but he couldn’t straighten it, couldn’t walk. I feel awful for him.”
Wimbledon Finals tickets are currently available. Book your seat for the 2013 final at the All England Club on July 7th as Andy Murray looks to pick up his second Grand Slam title.
