Siddle and Co are departing for the subcontinent.
Paceman Peter Siddle says Australia are looking forward to their tour of India.
“I think it’s good though I think the time over there to acclimatise and get ready for that first test, I think we’ve got two weeks before that first test so to get over there and obviously experience the hit and get use to the wickets which is going to be the big difference for us is obviously going to help us a lot,” said the Victorian.
“I think so, I think in my time I can’t remember getting over so early but obviously in England we got over there a little bit early but I guess the difference in wickets does make it a little bit hard.

“I think just getting over there giving us that extra time, a couple of practise matches also before we get underway is going to be very beneficial and hopefully set us in good stead for the rest of the series.
“I guess you look back on the years gone by and the series results we’ve had over there and it has been hard work for us and it has been a tough stomping ground. So I guess this is the time.
“This is obviously a new look set-up in the side and a new look team and hopefully we can go over there and stamp our authority and go from ball one and get stuck in.”
