The Gunners supporters clearly not happy the Argentine didn’t come to north London.
During the weekend’s Emirates Cup competition Arsenal fans booed – perhaps unfairly – new Napoli signing Gonzalo Higuain when the striker came on against FC Porto.
Higuain was a target for the Gunners for much of the summer, before Real Madrid’s asking price of £34.5m proved too much and the Serie A runners-up swooped in.
Baring in mind the move was hardly Higuain’s decision as the Naples outfit were the only option, it seemed slightly harsh to boo the 25-year-old – although at least the Argentine had a wry smile on his face.
As expected the Twitterati responded to the supporters’ reaction over the social network and the Arsenal faithful received plenty of criticism.
Come on. What’s the booing of Higuain all about? Hardly his fault Arsenal didn’t value him as highly as Napoli or Real Madrid. Get over it.

Hasn’t occurred to the Arsenal fans booing Higuain that Arsenal never actually agreed a fee with Real Madrid. So he *couldn’t* reject them.

Higuain being booed when he gets the ball. That’s beyond idiotic.
